Job Title: Temporary Research Associate, Research Analytical Chemistry and DMPK

Description:
We are currently seeking a Temporary Research Associate in our Research Analytical Chemistry and DMPK department for a 3-6 month assignment. Job Description Cytokinetics is engaged in drug discovery for multiple therapeutic applications using proprietary assay technologies including multi-protein biochemical screens and a suite of automated image-based cell assays. We are seeking a highly motivated, pro-active individual to join our research team devoted to developing novel therapies for cardiovascular diseases. The ideal candidate will participate in the physicochemical characterization of novel chemical entities; pre-formulation and formulation to support in vivo pharmacology studies including stability studies, excipient testing and development. He/She will also participate in established in vitro ADME assays and bio/analytical method development and analysis; assist in the development and validation of in vitro, ex vivo, and in situ models to characterize ADME properties of small molecule therapeutics. He/She will act as a team member and collaborator with a number of diverse departments.

Job Requirements:
• This position requires a BS/MS in chemistry/biochemistry • 2-6 years hands-on experience with analytical instrumentations and pharmaceutical developments • Knowledge in HPLC and LC/MS development and operation, instrument maintenance and trouble shooting is desired • Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment and knowledge of FDA, USP and ICH guidelines is a strong plus
