Job Title: Temporary Research Associate, Biochemistry

Job Location: South San Francisco

Description:

We are currently seeking an individual to join our Biochemistry Group for a 3-6 month temporary assignment. Primary responsibilities for the position include protein expression and characterization of recombinant proteins, assessment of enzymatic activity, and development of scale-up procedures.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a B.S.
• At least 4 years relevant lab experience in an academic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting
• Good record keeping skills, excellent attention to detail, a good working understanding of laboratory reagent preparation, and experience with immunological methods for protein analysis
• Experience with protein expression, purification and biochemical assays for enzymatic activity are highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team are also required
